Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman's trade to the Los Angeles Dodgers appears to be on hold due to a domestic violence allegation.

Chapman, a 27 left-hander, allegedly fired eight gunshots in the garage of his Miami-area home following an October argument with his girlfriend in which she told police he “choked” her and pushed her against a wall, according to police reports obtained by Yahoo Sports.

No arrests were made and no charges were filed due to conflicting reports on the incident, reports state.

His lawyer tells Yahoo Sports they deny the report.

Chapman was reported to have been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday.

But, according to FOX Sports, the domestic violence incident put the trade on hold.

Major League Baseball confirmed to FOX19 NOW that they are investigating the situation under its new domestic violence policy.

The Reds had no comment.
