Move over New York, Cincinnati is ranked one of the best places to celebrate New Year's Eve, according to personal finance website WalletHub.

Cincinnati ranked No.8 in WalletHub's 2015's Best & Worst Cities to celebrate New Year's Eve, beating out cities like Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans and New York. 

WalletHub says they compared the 100 most populated cities based on 17 key metrics such as tickets, hotels, restaurants, wine and ranked the cities on "Entertainment and Food," "Costs," and "Safety and Accessibility." 

Cincinnati ranked No. 13 in "Entertainment and Food," ninth in "Costs," but ranked No. 70 in "Safety and Accessibility."

Here is the complete breakdown of celebrating New Year's Eve in Cincinnati, according to WalletHub (1=biggest; 50=avg)

  • No. 27 – Average Price of a New Year’s Eve Party Ticket
  • No. 30 – Average Beverage Price (Wine Price)
  • No. 11 – Price of a Three-Star Hotel on New Year’s Eve
  • No. 9 – Number of Nightlife Options per Capita
  • No. 8 – Number of Restaurants per Capita
  • No. 6 – Luxury Shopping
  • No. 30 – Walkability
  • No. 23 – Number of New Year’s Eve Festivals, Performances & Galas per Capita
  • No. 3 – Number of Music Venues per Capita

Orlando, Fla., San Francisco and Atlanta rounded out the top three spots for best cities to celebrate New Year's Eve. While North Las Vegas, Newark and Jersey City, N.J. ranked last.
