Two men have posed as construction workers, exterminators and contractors in recent thefts from three local businesses.

The suspects were dressed as termite exterminators when they hit the Cincinnati Athletic Club in downtown Nov. 29, according to police.

“No one checked their identification and they had access to the entire club. While there they rummaged thru unlocked gym lockers and took various items,” read a Covington Police post on Facebook.

Disguised as construction workers, the suspects told staff at a Green Township office building that they were working on the HVAC system on Nov. 23, according to police. The pair walked through the office and pretended to inspect the premises

On Dec. 5, the men targeted Covington’s Behringer-Crawford Museum. Investigators say the pair lied about installing internet service, then stole laptops worth thousands of dollars.

By the time museum staff realized the men did not belong in the building, it was too late.

The Covington Police Department, Green Township Police and Cincinnati Police are working to identify the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
