No injuries were reported after a fire broke out at a West Chester General Motors service and parts operations facility Thursday morning.

The West Chester Fire Department responded to the Meridian Way facility just after 10:30 a.m.

Officials say the entire building was evacuated and no injuries were reported.

The fire department believes the fire started in the storage racks of the warehouse.

The approximately 414,500-square-foot facility is leased by GM and used for warehousing and distribution, officials said. Approximately 260 people are employed at the facility.
