AirCare responds when lawnmower, car collide

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Alcohol is a factor in a crash between a riding lawnmower and a car that required AirCare to respond Thursday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Anthony W. Christon, 57, of Blanchester was riding a lawnmower with a small trailer northbound on Marathon-Edenton Road near Hunt Road when he as struck by a northbound 2011 Chevrolet Impala about 6:49 p.m., patrol officials said in a prepared statement.

Christon was ejected from the lawnmower and landed in a ditch. AirCare flew him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. His condition was not released.

The driver of the Impala, identified by state troopers as Timothy J. McIntyre, 42, of Goshen, was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation. Troopers said alcohol appears to be a factor.
