Taste of Belgium will open their sixth location in Phase II of The Banks in the spring of 2016, city officials announced Friday.
The Cincinnati-based restaurant it will be open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, and feature the same menu, wine list, draft beer taps, private dining room, chef’s table and a patio for outdoor dining.
“The Banks has been such an important catalyst in the resurgence of downtown Cincinnati, and we’re thrilled our locally-owned restaurant will be front and center in the new phase of the development,” said Taste of Belgium owner and founder Jean-François Flechet. “Cincinnati has responded so positively to our waffles and one-of-a-kind dining experience, and this new venue – right in the heart of the riverfront – will have that same great energy and atmosphere.”
The popular restaurant chain recently just opened a new location at the Rookwood Exchange in Norwood in July. There are already locations in Clifton, Over The Rhine, the Findlay Market and in Columbus, Ohio.
Taste of Belgium will be apart of the nearly 20,000 square feet of retail space, as well as the General Electric U.S. Global Operations Center and the Radius community of luxury apartments.
Phase II is located just west of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center,
