OXFORD, OH (FOX19) -

A man is under arrest after Oxford police say they received calls last week about a man accused of approaching middle school aged children during their walk from home from school.

According to four juvenile male victims, the male allegedly attempted to lure them into a wooded area in the 1100 block of South Locust St on Dec. 16.

Police say the juveniles never followed the male into the woods. Instead, they ran from the area and told adults about the incident.

The report was filed with OPD, and subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 46-year-old Franklin T. McAllister.

McAllister is charged with four counts of criminal child enticement, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

He's being held at the Butler County Jail.
