Quick and Easy Chorizo Pasta and Cheese
1 lb. Cavatappi pasta (or any other favorite pasta
1 16 oz. jar Alfredo sauce
2 cups cheddar or other shredded cheeses
1 cup cooked chorizo sausage
Salt and pepper
Buttered panko bread crumbs
Cook pasta al dente in salted water at a rolling boil. Drain.
Butter or spray an 8X8 glass or metal
(4/6) l pan. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a medium saucepan, bring Alfredo just to a boil and reduce heat. Add shredded cheese and chorizo crumbles to alfredo, stir until well mixed. Salt and pepper to taste. Add cooked pasta and stir until well coated.
Pour pasta into coated pan. Top with buttered bread crumbs. Place in preheated oven on a cookie sheet, bake for 40 minutes or until bread crumbs are golden brown.
