PLEASANT RIDGE, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police are asking for the public's help as they search for a robbery suspect who shot a gas station clerk earlier this month.

They released surveillance camera images of the man they say held up Sunoco gas station, 6224 Montgomery Rd. at 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 13.

The suspect purchased an item and then attempted to rob the clerk at gunpoint.

As the clerk attempted to flee to a back room for safety, the man fired two shots from a semi-automatic pistol, striking the clerk once in the leg.

Nothing was obtained in the offense, and the suspect fled out of the store on foot towards Ridge Avenue.

He was described as black and in his 20’s with a light to medium complexion. He stands 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 and weighs 170 to 180 pounds.

He wore a black hoodie with a grey hood and a grey pocket on the left breast, and grey trim around the bottom and wrists; blue jeans and black shoes.

Police caution they consider the suspect armed and dangerous.

Anyone who can identify him is asked to call Detective Charles Zopfi: 513- 979-4435, or Crime Stoppers: 513-352-3040.
