Two teens killed in West Union crash

WEST UNION, OH (FOX19) -

Two teens killed in a crash Sunday evening have been identified by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Dillon Grooms, 18, was driving South on State Route 247 when his Ford Mustang made a left turn and hit another, according to OSP. It happened near Timber Ridge around 5 p.m. 

Grooms and passenger Haley Grooms,18, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, OSP reports.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor, officials report. OSP says the teens were not wearing seat belts before the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
