NEW RICHMOND, OH (FOX19) -

A man died Monday after being trapped under a vehicle while it was being towed, according to Clermont County Sheriff AJ Rodenberg.

Sheriff Rodenberg reports that at around 9:20 p.m., deputies from the sheriff's office were dispatched to State Route 132, in New Richmond, for a report of a male trapped under a vehicle.

Deputies with EMS units from Pierce Township arrived and found Terry Kennedy, 47, of New Richmond, located under his vehicle with serious injuries to his head, according to the sheriff's office.

He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation revealed that another adult male was in the process of assisting Kennedy with towing his disabled vehicle and in the process, Kennedy became lodged under the disabled vehicle and was dragged several hundred feet.

The man's name who was assisting Kennedy has not been released.

Charges have not been filed at this time.

The case will be reviewed by the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if any criminal charges are warranted.
