The Cure Starts Now has reached its goal of raising $2.2 million for pediatric cancer research.

The foundation has raised $2,201 427, as of Friday evening. The goal was inspired by Lauren Hill's "$2.2M for #22 in 22" goal.

"Lauren Hill captured the nation's heart and inspired millions and we are honored to continue her mission to raise $2.2 million for cancer research," The Cure Starts Now wrote on its website.
