A phoned-in bomb threat forced school officials to cancel class at All Saints School Monday, the first day back from Winter break.

Students and staff were safely evacuated around 10 a.m.

The threat was left by an automated voice over the weekend, according to Hamilton County Sheriff spokesperson Mike Robison.

“When the staff got into work this morning, they retrieved that voice mail where there were threats made of ongoing bomb threats to this school,” said Robison.

School officials notified parents that their child could be picked up from Moeller High School.

No threat was located during a search of the building by Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies and two K9 units.

Robison compared Monday’s incident to the recent string of automated threats called into schools across the country. Federal authorities investigated those threats and will be alerted of the situation at All Saints School, Robison said.

The school, located on Montgomery Road, has about 420 students and 42 staff members.

“It does tie up a tremendous amount of resources and again we’re not going to take this lightly,” said Robison. “We’re going to charge them, we’re going to prosecute them to the fullest extent possible.”

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will work with local and national officials to investigate the call.
