Domestic Violence Response

There are thousands of domestic violence victims in the Tri-State who fear for their lives. FOX19 news reporter Carolyn Costello reports that victims in Hamilton County now have a new tool to help protect them.

It's an emergency pendant woman can wear around their necks. If they believe they are in trouble they press a little button to set off a silent alarm. When that alarm goes off  two police officers will immediately be sent to their homes.

In a partnership with Hamilton County, ADT security company is providing the systems for free to women under orders of protection. When the button is pressed police are dispatched under a "priority" call.
