Bengals react on social media after gut-wrenching loss

Bengals players took to social media after Saturday night's gut-wrenching loss where Cincinnati came ever so close to that elusive playoff win.

The heartbreak was real after some players seemingly lost composure and allowed the game slip away at the end.

Bengals hurt themselves throughout the game with self-inflicted wounds. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap stated that fact bluntly after the loss.

The Bengals had the lead and the ball with less than two minutes to play. A Jeremy Hill fumble gave Pittsburgh the ball back, and this time with Ben Roethlisberger back at the helm. Hill placed blame squarely on himself after the game.

Roethlisberger led the Steelers to the game-winning field goal aided by two personal foul penalties on Vontaze Burfict and Adam Jones. Jones got into a confrontation with Pittsburgh's assistant coach Joey Porter.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Porter will  be fined for his part in the incident with Jones.

Dunlap posted on Instagram and Twitter Sunday morning that a 12-4 season may have been the best since he arrived in Cincinnati, but regular season success isn't enough.
