WEST END, OH (FOX19) -

One of three men shot in the 800 block of Poplar Street late Tuesday faces charges.

Antwon Johnson, 18, is held at the Hamilton County jail on two counts of felonious assault and one count trafficking in drugs, court records show.

He is scheduled to appear before a judge at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to court records, he shot two men with a .40-caliber pistol about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

When officers responded to the scene, they found a 19-year-old man down on the ground, suffering from five gunshot wounds to his torso and arms, said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.

The man was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he underwent and was listed in critical condition.

He was the only victim found at the shooting scene, Brown said.

A short time later, two others, including Johnson, arrived at the hospital emergency room by private vehicles, according to police.

A 20-year-old man was treated for two gunshot wounds to his back, Brown said.

Johnson accidentally shot himself in the wrist while shooting the two victims, said Lt. Stephen Saunders, police spokesman.

He was treated at the hospital, released and booked into the Hamilton County jail by 3:15 a.m.
