Chicken Recall

Perdue recalls chicken strips for possible underprocessing

Perdue Farms is recalling more than 230-thousand pounds of fully cooked chicken breast strips. The Agriculture Department says Perdue discovered that the strips bound for Subway restaurants throughout the eastern United States were possibly underprocessed. There are no reports of illness from the chicken. The chicken strips were made during a five-day period in February and March and shipped to centers in Alabama, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia for distribution.
