Gas Pumps Siphon Wallets

Gas pumps siphon wallets

Many motorists are reaching deep to pay for gas, but some are paying more than three dollars a gallon.

A Union 76 station in Malibu, California, is doing brisk business despite a price for regular unleaded of three dollars and five cents a gallon. Or, motorists can pay three dollars and 38 cents a gallon to have an attendant pump supreme gas.

The average in the Washington area has hit a new high of two dollars and five-point-four cents a gallon. That's according to Triple-A.

The motorist group says in Washington DC itself, the price is even higher -- at two dollars and ten cents a-gallon.
