LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -

The former Executive Director of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce pleaded guilty on Thursday to grand theft and tampering with records.

Sara Arseneau allegedly stole over $20,000 from the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce by issuing herself 13 additional payroll checks from November 2012 to June 2015, according to Warren Co. Prosecutor David Fornshell.

"This case is yet another reminder to charitable organizations of the need to implement basic safeguards to prevent internal theft, said Fornshell.

Grand theft and tampering with records are both fourth degree felonies. Arseneau's sentencing is scheduled for March 8, 2016.
