Man arrested in connection to fatal shooting outside 'Hard Times Bar'

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

A male suspect is behind bars for his connection to a fatal shooting outside Hard Times Bar earlier this month.

Charles McDonald, 24, was arrested by Hamilton Police detectives Wednesday on a murder warrant for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Robert Goens. According to his arrest report, he faces charges of murder, felonious assault and two counts of aggravated assault. 

Goens was found outside in the South 7th Street parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest on Jan. 15, Hamilton Police said. 

He was flown to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

McDonald's arrest came after an extensive investigation involving numerous leads and and multiple interviews by detectives, Hamilton police said. 

He's being transported back to the Hamilton Police Department, where he is undergoing the booking process.

Another man, Torriauno McCullough II, 24, was grazed in the right arm by a bullet, according to a police report. 

He refused treatment on scene.

Police have not said what led up to the shooting.
