CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A stay of sentencing has been ruled by the Ohio Supreme Court for suspended Juvenile Court Judge Tracie Hunter, court documents show.

The ruling means the embattled judge will not be going to jail on Friday, when her original sentencing date was scheduled.

Hunter is facing a six-month jail sentence after she was convicted of an unlawful interest in a public contract back in 2014. The suspended judge filed a motion asking not to be sentenced until after her appeal.

On Tuesday, prosecutors dropped the eight remaining charges against Hunter. Those charges included tampering with evidence and theft in office, along with addition count.
