Fire roars through Lockland home

LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) -

Fire roared through a home on Locust Avenue early Friday.

The structure was fully involved when crews arrived just before 4:30 a.m., according to Hamilton County dispatchers.

No one was hurt and all residents safely evacuated, he said.

The home sustained heavy damage.

Fire crews remain on scene investigating and monitoring for hot spots.

The homeowner tells FOX19 NOW he and his 43-year-old son escaped.

He said he was in his bedroom when fire started in the walls and spread to the kitchen.

He tried to extinguish the flames, but the fire quickly worsened.

He said he lived in the home five years.
