A Kenton County man will spend the next 20 years in prison for a crash that left a woman dead last year.
Police said Scott Rains, 33, of Independence, crossed the median and struck two vehicles on Turkeyfoot Road near College Park Drive March 9. He was under the influence, according to investigators.
Marianne Gerl, of Erlanger, died at the scene. Two other victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Rains is charged with manslaughter, criminal mischief and driving under the influence.
