CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

It’s National Breakfast Week, and the FOX19 NOW team rounded up some of the best places to have brunch in the Cincinnati area. Start your mornings off right with some crispy bacon, a sugary donut or the finest coffee in town.

TASTE OF BELGIUM

VARIOUS LOCATIONS: 3825 Edwards Road (Rookwood), 2945 Vine St. (Clifton), 1801 Race St. (Findlay Market), 1133 Vine St. (OTR)  

DETAILS: Taste of Belgium serves delectable Belgian breakfast foods ranging from Banana Nutella waffles, savory and sweet crepes to the Waffle & Chicken.


BELLEVUE BISTRO

BELLEVUE: 313 Fairfield Ave.

DETAILS: This Northern Kentucky eatery offers elegant items like the Portobello Benny Breakfast Benedict and the Mediterranean Breakfast Bake served over potatoes with two fried eggs. Other menu choices include Goetta Grilled Cheese, the Cinnabread Sandwich or the Kentucky Hot Brown with bacon and hollandaise sauce.


HOLTMAN’S DONUTS

OVER THE RHINE: 1332 Vine St.

DETAILS: Holtman’s has several locations around Cincinnati, including a shop in OTR. The donuts, including one that features crispy bacon on top, are “created from scratch using the highest quality ingredients.”


BOW TIE CAFÉ

MT. ADAMS: 1101 St. Gregory St.

DETAILS: This cozy café located in the heart of Mt. Adams serves carefully crafted coffee and expresso drinks. Pair your favorite specialty drink with traditional breakfast sandwiches, a crispy Belgian waffle or a breakfast burrito topped with sriracha and sour cream.


SLEEPY BEE CAFÉ

OAKLEY: 3098 Madison Road

DETAILS:The Sleepy Bee Café remains a favorite breakfast spot for local residents. Pop in the Oakley location to try a smoothie, an omelet or one of the gluten-free breakfast items.


FRENCH CRUST CAFÉ

DOWNTOWN: 915 Vine St.

DETAILS: Owned by Jean-Robert de Cavel, French Crust customers can order French pastries, eggs benedict with a slice of homemade brioche and scrambled eggs with goat cheese. Stop into the elegant café for a cup of coffee and a full range of breakfast menu items.


FIKA HUS

COVINGTON: 508 West 12th St.

DETAILS: Fika hus serves Scandinavian-inspired foods including coffee and homemade pastries. Treat your taste buds to a new experience with a lox bagel or Swedish scrambled eggs.


OTTO’S

COVINGTON: 521 Main St.

DETAILS: Add Otto’s to your list of weekend brunch spots. Start off with a black raspberry or pomegranate mimosa as you peruse the list of brunch entrées. The Covington bistro offers a Sausage & Grit Bowl, Lemon Buttermilk Pancakes and Crab Hash.


DJANGO WESTERN TACO

NORTHSIDE: 4046 Hamilton Ave.

DETAILS: Django Western Taco offers a wild Western take on Sunday brunch. Brunch-goers can try items like Huevos Rancheros (Blue corn tortilla, refried lentils, ranchero sauce, fried eggs, radish, cilantro) and Posole Rojo (smoke pork shoulder, hominy, avocado, radish, cabbage with blue corn tortilla).

SUGAR N’ SPICE

DETAILS: This well-known Cincinnati favorite serves thin pancakes, fluffy omelets and “prides itself on creating a fun, friendly, comfortable atmosphere.” Get up early and enjoy a traditional dining experience.


LISA’S KITCHEN

FAIRFIELD: 6601 Dixie Highway

DETAILS: Lisa’s gives customers a small-town diner experience. Breakfast menu items include Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, Country Fried Steak and Eggs, and Biscuits and Gravy. 


NATION KITCHEN AND BAR

DOWNTOWN: 1200 Broadway St.

DETAILS: Head over to Nation for brunch on the weekends. Customers can treat themselves to Bottomless Brunch for $25, which includes one brunch menu food item and unlimited mimosas, bloody carries or screwdrivers until 2 p.m.


GRAND FINALE

GLENDALE: 3 East Sharon Road

DETAILS: Sunday brunch at the Grand Finale is fit for a grand occasion. Treat yourself to a breakfast buffet and a glass of Champagne Kir, a Green Apple Martini or a Bubbling Ruby Sparkler.
