LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Crews are working to repair a water main break at Kyles Station Road and Yankee Road early Thursday.

The break was discovered about 5:30 a.m., according to Butler County dispatchers.

Bob Leventry, director of Butler County Water and Sewer, said the weather didn't make the break in the main, it was just the age of the water main, which was built in 1973.

The intersection was shut down earlier this morning, she said, but it has since reopened.

One side of the street was blocked, and water flowed to some driveways and low-lying homes.

Crews hope to have it repaired Thursday afternoon, but the road may not reopen until Friday morning.
