Victim: 'I was raped in a Hamilton cemetery'

Rape investigation at cemetary (VIDEO)

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) – - Documents show there have been five women sexually assaulted in and around the Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton since September of 2015.

The latest attack was Thursday just before 2 p.m.

Residents in the 1200 block of Greenwood Avenue called 911 at 1:44 p.m. saying there was a woman without clothing in a nearby yard, said police spokeswoman Kristy Collins.

Police have not said if the other attacks are related but police reports received by FOX19 Now indicate that most involved a man with a knife threatening a woman if she did not perform a sex act on him.

FOX19 Now did speak to a woman who said she was attacked Christmas Eve while hitchhiking.

She said the man brought her to the Greenwood Cemetery where he pulled out a knife and raped her. Like the other victims in the police reports, he made her get naked and the events took place in his vehicle.

"My life flashed in front of me," said a victim who we will call "Ellen".

The victim described the man as white in his 20's to 30's, a black car with black tinted windows. It's a similar description other women have gave. In September, police arrested a 29-year-old White male after he held a knife to a woman's throat and said, "I'm getting this for free."

Charges would be dismissed in that case because the woman did not cooperate with police.

It's not clear if that man is a suspect in the Thursday attack or the other cases.
