A 24-year-old man is accused of stealing from the Plainfield Road Target store by ringing up $1,500 in unauthorized discounts.
Tayshawn M Allen, 24, of Blue Ash, admitted in a written statement he stole to better provide for his daughter, Blue Ash police wrote in a sworn statement filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
Allen was arrested Jan. 24 for the alleged offenses between Oct. 20 and Nov. 26 based on evidence provided by Target to include transaction receipts, security video and the written statement, court records state.
The total value of unauthorized discounts totaled about $1,500, according to police.
Allen is scheduled to appear before a judge Friday morning.
