McCormick allegedly went to the residence hall laundry room and went through the dryers looking for female clothing. Court records state, “when he found a dryer with female clothing, he proceeded to take the underwear out of the laundry and take it with him as he left the building.”
Multiple women had complained about their clothes being stolen from campus laundry rooms, a police report shows.
The records also show one victim had, “10 pairs of panties and one pair of black leggings” taken.
One victim told FOX19 NOW, she didn’t realize she was a victim until after the Jan. 25 incident when a resident assistant sent out an email warning female residents to be on the lookout for someone stealing underwear.
"Over the past few weeks we have had numerous resident informing us that they have had their laundry stolen," the RA wrote. "If you notice any laundry missing or have seen any laundry being stolen please stop by my room or text me and let me know! Please don't brush it off and not mention it to me if this has happened to you!"
McCormick faces charges of theft and trespassing charges.
