Sheriff: Alcohol contributing factor in rollover crash

MADISON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Alcohol is a contributing factor in a rollover crash that injured a 77-year-old man late Tuesday, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

A pickup truck travelling west on Ohio 122 went left of center and drove off the other side of the road about 7:17 p.m., sheriff's officials said in a prepared statement.

The truck ramped an embankment and went airborne.  ]

When it returned to the ground, the truck rolled several times and came to rest on its top.  The driver was trapped inside.

Madison Township fire crews extricated him, and he was taken to Atrium Medical Center.

Just before the crash, the pickup truck was the subject of multiple calls for reckless operation, sheriff's officials said.

The incident remains under investigation.
