CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Eighteen years ago, Cincinnati was buried by its largest snowfall in history.
A whopping 18.5 inches fell over three days Feb. 4, 5 and 6, 1998, mostly on Feb. 4.
It led to hundreds of car accidents and flights being canceled at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Interestingly enough, this snow event occurred during a strong El Nino year like this one. It had been a mild winter up until this storm arrived.
