BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Over three pounds of drugs were confiscated in Butler County Wednesday, stated Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones.
The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce along with the DEA seized over two pounds of Mexican heroin, one pound of cocaine, a handgun and $52,000 in cash through a search warrant.
Agents contacted the suspected drug trafficker Arnulfo Vazquez-Ledesma in the area of Woodstock Drive in Fairfield after a K-9 alerted on the vehicle being operated by the suspect that prompted a search, according to reports.
Officials said agents located a large amount of U.S. currency concealed in the trunk of the vehicle and subsequently conducted a search warrant at the suspect's residence in the 50 block of Woodstock Drive.
In the residence, agents said they located the drugs.
Vazquez-Ledesma was taken into federal custody and detained on federal drug trafficking charges, stated officials.
According to investigators, the drugs seized have a combined street value of approximately $150,000.
"Another win for the good guys!" stated Sheriff Jones. "These dealers need to learn to stay out of Butler County.
