HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) – -

Four people were taken into custody following a two-month heroin investigation, the Butler County Sheriff's Office announced early Wednesday.

Agents with the agency's B.U.R.N. (Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics) Task Force searched an apartment at Hampshire Court apartment Monday, sheriff's officials said in a prepared statement.

They said they found small amount of heroin, 200 prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and about $3,000 in cash.

Agents arrested Logan Johnson on a possession of heroin charge; Cassie Stevens on a charge of possession of controlled medications; Roy Street for an outstanding warrant and Brian Wilhoit on 5 outstanding warrants.

“This street level trafficking crew will no longer be pushing poison into our streets.”,  Sheriff Richard Jones said.

All subjects arrested were booked into the Butler County Jail.

Agents plan to present additional drug related charges when the case goes to a grand jury, sheriff's officials said.
