MT. HEALTHY, OH (FOX19) -

A 16-year-old boy hit by a car early Thursday suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution, police said.

Officers responded to the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Adams Road just before 7 a.m.

When they arrived, they determined the teen was walking in the crosswalk when he was struck.

The motorist was cited for "right-of-way of pedestrian within crosswalk," police said in a prepared statement.

The teen was treated on scene for minor abrasions to his left leg and knee before crews took him to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a precaution.
