Xavier sophomore Trevon Bluiett has been named one of 35 players on the mid-season list for the Naismith Award, given to college basketball’s player of the year.
Bluiett leads the 21-3 Musketeers with 15.2 points per game. He ranks third in assists (2.4) per game and rebounds (6.7) per game on the team. Bluiett is in the top 10 in Big East scoring and top 15 in rebounding.
No. 5 Xavier (21-3, 9-3 Big East) is two games out of first place in the Big East trailing to ranked Villanova. The Muskies travel to Butler on Saturday for a 2:30 tip-off on FOX19 NOW followed by a 30-minute live postgame show with highlights, player interviews and thoughts with Xavier Head Coach Chris Mack.
