Officer fired round at suspect during chase in Mt. Lookout

MOUNT LOOKOUT (FOX19) -

A police chase led to an officer firing a round at a suspect early Sunday morning near Mt. Lookout. 

Cincinnati Police say around 1:40 a.m. a Cincinnati police officer tried to conduct a traffic stop when the suspect refused to pull over.

A short chase ended when the suspect crashed into a parked car on Linwood Ave. near Beverly Hills Dr. Police say the suspect fled the scene, leading the officer on a foot pursuit.

During the foot chase, the officer shot at the suspect once but did not hit him, Cincinnati Police said.  

The suspect immediately complied after the shot was fired and he was taken into custody.

No one was injured in the incident.

The name of the suspect will be released once a positive identification is made.

No other details were given.
