Aquarium Birds Returned

After 45 days in quarantine, the six birds, that were stolen from the Newport Aquarium and subsequently recovered by biologists, will be reunited with their fellow feathered friends.

The birds were taken on February 4, 2005. With the help of the police and Aquarium biologists, they were returned to the Aquarium on February 6, 2005. The six birds consisted of an endangered chattering lory, four green-naped lorikeets and a Forsten's lorikeet.

The birds are available to be viewed by guests at the Aquarium along with 50 other birds on exhibit every day.
