MASON, OH (FOX19) - The woman who died in a Mason house fire Tuesday morning has been identified.
Roma Hunt, 70, was found dead in the bedroom of her Olympia Drive home., according to the coroner's office.
Passerbys and people at a distance spotted flames that were through the roof and called 911 around 1:15 a.m., said Mason Fire Chief John Moore.
Crews responded within eight minutes, but the house had partially collapsed.
Investigators have not determined a cause but say the fire started in a front room near the bedroom where Hunt's body was located.
Hunt was the only person living in the home. A coroner investigator said she appears to have died from smoke inhalation.
Several firefighters responded, including crews from Loveland and Deerfield and West Chester townships.
