CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Lou Piniella will be the Grand Marshal of the 97th Findlay Market Opening Day Parade, the Cincinnati Reds announced Tuesday.

"Sweet Lou" was the manager of the Reds from 1990-1992 and led the club to its wire-to-wire 1990 World Series championship.

He was recently hired as a consultant for the team as a senior advisor to baseball operations.

The parade kicks off at noon on Monday, April 4.

According to the parade's website, the parade route is unchanged for this year's course through Downtown.

The Reds' Opening Day game vs the Philadelphia Phillies is scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
