Former Bengal awarding $10k scholarship for CPS student-athlete

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Former Cincinnati Bengal Chinedum Ndukwe announced a scholarship for a Cincinnati Public Schools student-athlete.

The $10,000 scholarship will be rewarded to a senior that has a cumulative 3.5 GPA, and plan to attend a two- or four-year college in the fall of 2016.

Eligible candidates are encouraged to submit an essay (200 word maximum) detailing how they have demonstrated leadership, a commitment to their community and an entrepreneurial spirit, according to

"Athletics, combined with education and core values, is channeled through the Ndukwe Foundation's presence in the community and is the basis of Chinedum's continued efforts to create opportunities enriching young people's lives and impacting future goals and aspirations for our youth," the Foundation's website said.
