MORROW, OH (FOX19) - The Warren County Sheriff's Office confirmed the body pulled from the Little Miami River on Friday was the person of interest in a Morrow fire last month.
Aaron Berns, 27, evaded investigators after he was spotted near the scene of a Jan. 1 fire on Miranda St. Morrow Police Department said Berns jumped into the Little Miami River after a brief chase by officers.
Berns was considered a person of interest and listed as a critical missing person. His body was found by the Loveland Police Department near the dead end of Betty Ray Drive Saturday at 4:13 p.m.
According to Berns' mother, Conni Berns, Aaron was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She believed Aaron Berns was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder at the time of fire.
