Duke Energy is stepping in to help rebuild a beloved historical landmark in Rabbit Hash Kentucky after a devastating fire.
The company will present a $25,000 check to the Rabbit Hash General Store and the Rabbit Hash Historical Society to help with rebuilding the 185 year-old landmark.
Duke Energy will present the General Store proprietor with a check Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. at 10021 Lower River Road in Union.
The historical society's vice president, Don Clare, says the rebuilding will have to be done with care to preserve the building's status on the National Register of Historic Places.
