COLLEGE HILL (FOX19) -
A street robbery victim was shot and then fought back by firing at his assailants overnight, Cincinnati police said early Wednesday.
The victim, 45, told police he was getting out of his car to walk into his house when two men tried to rob him just before midnight in the 1100 block of North Lynnebrooke Drive, said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.
The suspects shot the victim in the right thigh, he said.
That's when he pulled out his gun and fired back.
"We believe he may have hit one of them, not sure at this point," Brown said.
The suspects fled and remain at large.
The victim was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is expected to recover, Brown said.
He has a license to carry a concealed weapon, Brown added.
