Bunbury Music Festival releases 2016 lineup

CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

Florence and the Machine and The Killers are among the eclectic group of artists taking the stage at the 2016 Bunbury Music Festival.

PromoWest Productions released the lineup Thursday for the June 3 - 5 festival at Sawyer point and Yeatman's Cove.

The 2016 lineup features national, regional and local acts:

Ice Cube

Of Monsters and Men

Grimes, Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram)

The Neighbourhood

X Ambassadors

Elle King

G. Love & Special Sauce

Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires

Also including: J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Bayside, The Wombats, The Mowgli’s, The Dear Hunter, Here Come the Mummies, Austin Plaine, Red Wanting Blue, Cal Scruby, Coleman Hell, Lany, Grizfolk, Whilk & Misky, Connor Youngblood, Diarrhea Planet, Oddisee, PVRIS, Lydia, Louis the Child, Foxing, The Shelters, Holy White Hounds, Dead Man String Band, Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sounds, Dawg Yawp, Mad Anthony, Automagik, Leggy.

More acts could be added leading up to the festival, reps say.

Single-day and three-day tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. For the first time, festival-goers will be issued RFID-enabled wristbands that act as tickets and digital wallets.

So, why ‘Bunbury? "To Bunbury, or to go bunburying, is to have a made-up excuse to get out of doing something boring," the website states. "Every Bunbury weekend in June, we give you a great excuse to get out of whatever you don't want to do."
