CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - One of the Tri-State's Holocaust survivors died Friday at the age of 91.
Werner Coppel was a prisoner at Auschwitz concentration camp for two years before he escaped and traveled to the United States.
He spent decades speaking on the Holocaust and educating people about the dangers of discrimination.
A visitation and funeral is planned for Monday at 11 a.m. at the Weil Funeral Home, Inc in Cincinnati.
The family said memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education or the charity of one's choice.
