I was really looking forward to this movie after seeing the trailer recently.
“Eddie the Eagle” hit theaters this weekend. For me, it didn’t disappoint.
It’s about Eddie Edwards, an unlikely Olympian who makes it to the 1988 winter games in Calgary.
He’s heavy, terribly nearsighted and makes it into the games by taking advantage of a technical loophole.
The movie is heartwarming, inspiring, funny and ridiculous all at the same time.
The movie reminds us of when we as youngsters had dreams of sporting glory.
Not a must see in the movie theater. Wait for Netflix, or Redbox, or iTunes.
The wait won’t be long since the movie only made about $6 million dollars in its opening weekend.
