BRACKEN COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

A Falmouth family is in mourning as they try to gather details about their daughter's death after she was found in a creek.

The body found was found in Bracken County Sunday and then identified as Tara Turner, 31, a mother of three who had been missing for nearly a month.

Investigators were on the scene around 9 p.m. Sunday after the body was located near Snag Creek and the Ohio River just off Route 8.

Family members said Turner had not been heard from since her boyfriend dropped her off at the California Market on the AA Highway last month.

Tara Turner's father, Dan Turner, told FOX19 NOW that his daughter was not shot or stabbed and that they are waiting for the Kentucky State Troopers to finish their investigation.

"There ain't been a day go by that we haven't thought about her," stated Dan. "Ain't been a day gone by that my wife hasn't cried.  What broke my heart the most was her youngest child would say to me every morning when I go to work, 'Papaw, you going to bring my mommy home today?'  It broke my heart."

He said a fund is being set up in her name at any Fifth Third Bank location.

FOX19 NOW will continue to update this story as more information is available.
