GOODYEAR, AZ (FOX19) - While Mother Nature can't make up her mind in the Tri-State, the Cincinnati Reds take the field for the team's first Spring Training game.
The Reds will take on the Cleveland Indians at 3:05 p.m. Get used to the Indians. The Reds and Indians will place each other the first three days of games since the teams share a Spring Training Complex in Goodyear, AZ.
Reds.com is reporting that Jon Moscot will take the mound in the opener. Brandon Finnegan, a lefty that came to the Reds in the Johnny Cueto trade, will also pitch an inning.
Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips are expected to play in Tuesday's game, but Devin Mesoraco and Zack Cozart are not expected to play as they recover from their respective injuries. Both players haven't had any setbacks, but the Reds want to ease the cather and shortstop back into action.
