HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

The city of Hamilton announced Tuesday a plan for the redevelopment of the former Champion Paper Mill.

According to the officials, the project will include a youth sports complex, fitness center, hotel, restaurants, brewery, meeting and event space, and other entertainment venues.

The facility will also house tenants in various medical fields including orthopedics, pediatric dentistry, and other services that support athletics and active lifestyles.

The project is a partnership with Manheim, Pennsylvania based Spooky Nook Sports LLC.

The company currently hosts academy programs for many sports including, field hockey, basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball, futsal, and cheerleading. More than 900,000 players, spectators, coaches, and guests visit the facility each year for tournaments, camps, clinics, fitness, meetings, conventions, trade shows, banquets, and other events.

Construction is estimated to begin in late 2016 with a projected completion time frame of late 2017.
