Rob Williams makes move to evening news

(FOX19 NOW) (FOX19 NOW)
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Anchor Rob Williams will join FOX19 NOW at 6:30pm and FOX19 NOW at 10:00 p.m. starting Monday, March 14.

Williams will anchor alongside Tricia Macke, Chief Meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer, Sports Director Joe Danneman, and Sports Anchor Jeremy Rauch.

Williams joined FOX19 NOW in 1995 and has served in various capacities, including co-anchoring previously with Macke in the morning from 1995 to 1999.

“Rob has done an excellent job on the morning show,” said Debbie Bush, Vice President/General Manager. “He is both a respected newsroom leader and—as importantly-- a steward of the community. He loves his adopted hometown of Cincinnati, he has deep connections here and he’s ready to take on a new challenge.”

Said Williams: “When I first came to Cincinnati, I had no idea I’d grow to love it so much. I also didn’t know that I’d become so content at FOX19 NOW.

"It’s a place where people truly care for one another and this is probably one of the most exciting times in the station’s history. I’m excited about moving to nights, although my body clock will need some adjustment time!”

Dan Wells will anchor FOX19 NOW in the Morning weekdays from 4:30-11:00 a.m. also starting Monday, March 14.

Wells, currently weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter, will anchor alongside Kara Sewell, meteorologists Frank Marzullo, Jeff Creighton, Catherine Bodak, and traffic reporter Denise Johnson.

Wells joined FOX19 NOW in 2008 and has served in various capacities, including reporter for FOX19 NOW at 10:00 and debut anchor for the weekend edition of FOX19 NOW in the Morning which launched in 2012.

“Dan has played an integral role in this station’s success, most recently on the weekend mornings,” Bush said. “He has an energetic and warm personality which will further complement our already fantastic morning team.”

Said Wells: “When I came to Cincinnati, it immediately felt like home. My family and I enjoy all the Tri-State offers. Most importantly, we enjoy the great people, and I’m honored to join Kara and the morning team at FOX19 NOW.”
