FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) -

The infant boy who was critically injured in a crash that left one person dead has been released from the hospital, police told FOX19 NOW Wednesday.

Police suspected drugs were a factor when the vehicle flipped on Interstate 275 on Feb. 22

The 7-month-old was strapped in his car seat and ejected from the vehicle. He has been in critical condition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital prior to his release.

Michael Gilliam, of Cincinnati, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Amanda Thomas and  Billy Jones, both of Bethel, were also in the vehicle.

Thomas was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Her condition remains unknown.

Jones suffered minor injuries

Police say needles were found at the scene and one victim had tracks marks on their body.

Fort Thomas Police are working to determine who was driving the vehicle.
